City of Industry Lions Club

Volunteer "petal pushers" apply the finishing touches on the Lions Clubs International float entry in the Jan. 1, 2009 Tournament of Roses Parade in Pasadena. A handful of Industry Lions Club members attended the annual New Year's Eve Breakfast, hosted by the Pasadena Host Lions Club, and got a sneak peek of the float 24 hours before it rolled down the 5.5-mile route along Colorado Boulevard. International President Al Brandel attended the breakfast and later rode on the float in view of 1.4 million on-site spectators and nearly a billion television viewers.

Nogales High School senior Carmina Del Mundo (center) won the Central Region Student Speakers Contest held April 5th, to advance to the District contest, scheduled for 1:30 p.m. Saturday April 26, at Goddard Middle School, 859 E. Sierra Madre Ave., Glendora.
