FLOATING ON LAND

Volunteer "petal pushers" apply the finishing touches on the Lions Clubs International float entry
in the Jan. 1, 2009 Tournament of Roses Parade in Pasadena. A handful of Industry Lions Club members attended the annual
New Year's Eve Breakfast, hosted by the Pasadena Host Lions Club, and got a sneak peek of the float 24 hours before it rolled
down the 5.5-mile route along Colorado Boulevard. International President Al Brandel attended the breakfast and later rode
on the float in view of 1.4 million on-site spectators and nearly a billion television viewers.
