ADVANCES TO DISTRICT STUDENT SPEAKERS CONTEST

Nogales High School senior Carmina Del Mundo (center) won the Central Region Student
Speakers Contest held April 5th, to advance to the District contest, scheduled for 1:30 p.m. Saturday April
26, at Goddard Middle School, 859 E. Sierra Madre Ave., Glendora. Also pictured at the March 5th Club contest are,

WALMART MANAGER INSTALLED AS
NEWEST LION

of Industry Lions Club's charitable fundraisers, which support a variety of community programs. Rudy is the club's fourth
new member in the past seven months. Several prospective new members were on hand for the luncheon.
A DIAMOND IN THE RUFF

INDUSTRY LIONS WELCOME INTERNATIONAL PRESIDENT

was in southern California to participate in New Year's festivities in Pasadena, including the annual New Year's Eve breakfast
hosted by the Pasadena Host Lions Club; a reception hosted by the Doubletree hotel in Rosemead; and the Tournament

FIRE INSPECTOR ADDRESSES EVENING CLUB

L.A. County Fire Dept. Insp. Rick Dominguez
receives certificate of appreciation from Industry Lions Club President David Rutherford for his Dec. 13 presentation on the
various programs of Fire Station 118, located on Gale Avenue west of Azusa Avenue. Dominguez proposed a number of community
service partnerships with the club.

INDUSTRY LIONS LAUD WALMART FOR RODEO
DONATION

Trisha Romero of Walmart receives a Certificate of Appreciation
from City of Industry Lions Club President David Rutherford at a business meeting held Thursday, Nov. 1 at Marie Callender's
Puene Hills. The City of Industry Walmart store, located on Gale and Azusa avenues, was recognized for its donation of soft
drinks sold at the Lions food booth at the Industry Hills Pro Rodeo Oct. 12-14 at the Industry Hills Expo Center. The club
raised nearly $2,000 at the event, which will benefit local charities.
